* Working the Giveaways…

I was going to send you a url to go grab loads of goodies
this week….
(I should have sent it earlier as there are
only 5 days left now)

BUT….
Before I did, I thought it might be a better idea to offer
some tips and guidance on getting the most benefit from them.

I know most people will have seen these ‘giveaway’ sites at some
point in their online ventures….

But does everyone ‘work’ them right ?

You see it’s so easy to notice some great products just there for
the taking and grab as much as humanly possible in the time
frame given.

The downside comes weeks later…
Once we realise that we’ve joined another 100 lists and our inboxes
are suffocating under the weight of emails…lol

That then tends to drag us away from what we were supposed
to be focsing on… and the end reslt is info overload and no
time to get anything done!

Or at least that’s what I’ve found to be the case when I first had a
wander through the products area of the first giveaway I signed up for.

How have your experiences been?
Anything like mine were?

The tendency for many would be to just steer clear of them all,
especially after a bad case of inbox vomit…

BUT..(yep, another one)
That could also lead to missing out on some valuable products…
Or worse still – discovering that something you need to purchase
could have been claimed at zero co st last week!

Hence my Rambling on this week…
I wanted to give you a ‘Plan Of Action’ that I use myself now.

Here’s what I do ,

Firstly – I have a couple of extra email accounts set up
One with hotmail and one with gmail
(just in case anyrefuse to accept a hotmail addy)

Then I visit the giveaway when I hear about one… and I try
to establish whether there may be products I could use.

Like This One

I figure there’s no harm in filing out the boxes and having a
look around…. And I already know from experience that I’ll be
hit with an offer of something – hey that just happens.

Depending on what’s being offered and whether it’s of REAL use to me
or exceptional value – I’ll consider it and make a yes or no decision.

Next I confirm my hotmail addy and get into the product listing area.

Now this is where many have problems,
They grab EVERYTHING!

My advice here is to be very selective.
Sure you could grab it all – as the emails will all be going to your
hotmail of gmail addy …

However, and again from experience,
It’s easy to be tempted to have a read of all the emails…
and that’s without even having looked at all the products yet…lol

So nowadays –
I only grab what I consider to be a product that

will help me in my business
.

What’s the point in filling my hard drive with clutter I’ll never use?
If you chose to do the same, you could get some great products with
spending anything, and you may even find a few of the emails you
get to provide value.

Once you have what you want – put them all into a temporary
‘giveaway’ folder until you’ve had chance to review them and place
them either in another folder more appropriate – or into the recycle bin.

And likewise with the emails … just hit the clicky at the bottom of any
you don’t gel with…. and then you can check in on the others as
and when time permits.

And that is how I basically treat ‘Giveaways’.

I hope this has been of some use for when you next take a look at one.

And as it happens – Yep – I do have one to show you…. lol

I don’t promote a lot of these – but I’m mentioning this one as I’ve
had a look around and grabbed some cool bits and pieces…

I was also impressed (for a change) with the offer after sign up.
Instead of the usual 5 million products we’ve all seen before..
They have some products I have personally paid $97 for personal
rights to … in there with resell rights!

Anyway – make you own mind up on the deal … but meanwhile,

Do pop along and grab stuff that will benefit you.

Have fun – but do remember what we’ve discussed here ;)

* Traffic Doing Nothing…

Here’s another freebie worth considering.

I’ve been looking at something called the FreeTrafficBar

Long story short – I decided to give it a try and installed it a couple of
days ago.

It’s one of these things you can do absolutely no thing and still get
visitors to your site by having your ads shown to other people.

I know – it sounds either really great – or too good etc…

Well it’s neither!
It’s not the fantastic be all and end all solution that some may claim..

However – it’s still worth looking at!… let me tell you why I think that.

It is just a little toobar that sits at the top of your browser and
shows ads while you surf as usual.
(you can of course completely ignore the little text ads)

It does happen to have some other usful bits in the bar… but you
read about them at the site..

So that’s what’s great about it … you carry on as usual…
meanwhile you’re earning ad credits :)

The ‘No – It really isn’t too good to be etc..’ part is this:

Everyone else can also ignore the messages too …lol
So don’t expect any wonderous events or mountains of traffic from this..

But as an added tool to your inventory of free traffic – it does no harm.

In the couple of days I’ve had it on – I’ve earned around 400 credits,
(plus got my 1000 for joining)
I also got some extra credits so I could report my findings…
(25,000)
I then listed 2 ads. One to a freebie of mine and one to a paid product .
The ads have been shown 1896 time for the paid product and 2474
times for the freebie.

Here’s the “ignored” bit … They been clicked on just a couple of times each
Showing a conversion of around half of 1%

That’s pretty poor – but as I said … for doing nothing – I shalln’t
complain.

Interesting enough – The paid product is getting more interest than the
freebie…. which I never expected ?

Oh and before I forget – there are naturally upgrade options.
However at this stage – I’m still trying the free level. (for now)

If you’d like to check out the tool bar for yourself
it ain’t great – but it’s doing nothing…

(In a week or so I believe I’ll be promoting a product that gets you
a heap of credits as a bonus…. but it will be a paid product)

Well I think that’s me for this time round.

There always does seem to be loads more I’d love to tell you -
How many JV’s I’ve refused to mention… who’s been a rude big name
and lost respect etc… but I suppose this helpful stuff is better … hehe

Thanks for sharing that some really great advice there,as you say I am always loathe to join these offers because of all the junk mail you get. Your solution is so simple and logical I could kick myself for not thinking of it myself. From now on I’m going to join with my safelist addie. As you say they really do give out some great tools

Really good advice, I have signed up for many of these offers but really got fed up with the amount of emails I was getting.
