* Interesting Times? Or Exciting Times?

Well I’ve finally stopped partying and decided it was time to get back to easing myself into work again…

In the UK we seem to be completely snowed in for a week or so (and it’s getting worse!!)
Which has given me a lot of time to watch the TV and news channels. (I like a good film and a couple of TV programs – but I’m no longer addicted to all the soaps and the like…haha)

What I have noticed is how negative the news still seems to be.
For every glimmer of hope – there seems to be 5 more stories of hardship! – Do you ever wonder if most of the hardship is brought on by the people telling us the news??
I mean – if they stuck to focusing on what’s great in the world – would we all feel better about it, and thereby have an attitude that would make it a better place too?

It reminds me a lot of the old Chinese curse
“May you live in Interesting Times”

Well it would seem the world media wish us to live in interesting times, as it sells more newspapers and has us glued to the TV news more – which in turn sells more ad space, as well as convincing us that all is doom and gloom.
Well they wouldn’t want us happy and carefree would they? – there’s less chance to control us then….lol
OK that’s getting too serious isn’t it?

Personally – I think we live in Exciting Times!

While the news told us about everyone struggling last year, I found I actually had my best year yet in terms of online income, and a fantastic year too socially (the family and fun stuff)
And from the people I talk to and associate with – they all reported the same!

So if you are ready to take control of your own live – then I sincerely wish you a happy and prosperous 2010 – and I hope it’s a VERY Exciting year for you and all my readers!

That said – I best get on with some mentions of products that I can earn from by promoting them (that bit was for the FTC)…hehe

Some things don’t change – like the fact that I do hope to earn affiliate commissions this year – but I’ll still only happily earn them from products I truly believe can help my readers!
So I will continue to only promote the things I like, regardless of the commissions or how many gurus tell me I should promote stuff!
