2009 Highlights
Hi and welcome to what may be my final post of the year
So firstly let me say
I wish you a happy holiday season and a great new year
I’m just putting the finishing touches to 30 more product downloads in my MoreMonthly site, and then I have an email or two to write and send…. other than that I’m about done for the year.
So I thought I’d end the year with a summary of some of the products and freebies I’ve mentioned throughout the year ![]()
I certainly wouldn’t suggest you read it all thoroughly as there seems to be a lot of it…lol
I hadn’t realised until now just how many times I link to freebies. (Note to self to do more promotions in future…lol)
Seriously though – it’s been a great year for me and I hope it has for you and all my readers too!
So skim through and see if you’ve missed any of the great products or freebies. And remember to just have a read when you’ve nothing more important to be doing! This to me is a time for planning or spending with family – not for worrying whether you need to buy things!!
(most will still be here after the holidays
)
So here goes – I wont mention every single link I’ve posted, just the ones that caught my eye as I skimmed through my old posts…
**January
I started the year with a strong recommendation to join John Thornhill’s coaching program.
I’ve become friends with so many people who have taken this course (which keeps getting more value added to it), and I’ve seen some great (and some truly metioric) successes from those who invested in John’s coaching. So I will be promoting it again when he re-launches it at the end of Jan 2010.
A cool freebie I linked to in Jan was from Geoff Shaw who still has the Google Trends Video series on his site here:
No optin required
**February
Another freebie here that will help create header grahics for those who don’t outsource their graphics yet:
http://xheader.com
And another to create your own motivational pictures:
http://wigflip.com/automotivator/
I also added 17 ebooks with PLR to my subscriber gifts page this month. If you’re not on my list feel free to join from any of the optin forms on this page
**March
A good promotion for me in March was for the Ultimate Footer Ad you see at the bottom of my blog. UFA has been responsible for a lot of new people on my mailing lists, and I still favour it as one of the best, unobtrusive, popups available!
A Freebie Graphics Tool I added with no optin required.
Straight to the download link:
I also posted an article about creating signatures in March, and linked it to a site where you can create one free:
http://www.mylivesignature.com/
**April
Saw the upgrade to WizardResponder2.0 … wow was it that long ago…lol. It seems strange writing about it as we are now in the process opf adding more tools and upgrades again! – and the price will be rising to $11.97 per month! So it would pay to lock yourself in at just $8.97 while you still can
Also add another direct link freebie with no optin required called
Timeless Sales Strategies with PLR
And I promoted James Penn’s great report: Accelerated List Building – which is still available for just ten bucks from here.
**May
Wow May was such a busy month!
Loads of very good launches, and too many to choose a best recommendation from as they were all good for certain people.
So as usual I would caution against buying anything that isn’t goiong to be used straight away…
However – I will list all the great ones so you can see what might fit for you and your plan!
Yet another freebie helping with time management, and once again no optin required:
(How to Stop Starting and) Make Money Internet Marketing..
May was also the month of Robert Puddys 3 day Event.
A great opportunity to learn from and meet up with some great marketers!
I’ll be going again in 2010 – so do watch out for that one, meanwhile you could get informed by being a member of Forum KnowHow for just $10 a year:
Plus there was the last promotion for PLRMonthly at the old rates…
But happily – Dave & Dan have now got some discounted rates if you choose to pay a chunk upfront to access quality PLR every month of the year…. well worth checking out!
I promoted two of Cindy Battye’s products in May – and both are evergreen:
Do take a look at
Membership Gold Rush And Daily Niche Idea
**June
Another cool freebie in was mentioned in this post in June:
http://www.randolfsmith.com/i-think-youll-want-this-free-plugin/
I’ve linked to the post as it has a couple of videos to show how to use and install the plugin. it’s the one that puts an optin box at the bottom of every post I make….very useful
June also saw the release of my Friend Omar Martins
Internet Selling For Newbies
This was great promotion due to the free content available before the optional oto’s (A really good ‘classroom’ style learning program)
PLUS – June saw the prelaunch of Anton and my GuruBypass, with the free case studies report building an early bird list for us to what became a very successful product that has helped over 400 people since.
**July
Another big month in terms of my business…
Pete and I had realised that in order to guarantee we continued to offer a great service with both my www.MoreMonthly.com site (due to the massive number of downloads I was now storing) and with WizardResponder, due to the success of the continuing upgrades and more members joining daily – we really needed a bigger dedicated server!
So it was a massive move to a server 8 times bigger than the one we had!
Which thankfully went very smoothly thanks to our hosts (Paula and Dan) over at D9 Hosting
This month there was yet another prelaunch for a great product from Cindy Battye -
ClickBank Pirate
She teamed up with Soren Jordansen on this one and has been working with him ever since… and a great team they’re turning out to be in terms of offering useful products and tools to marketers!
July also saw the first mention of the free backlinks generator that Keith Purkiss developed… I have since bought the rights to this and have it listed in my links for my readers to use at no cost…
http://www.randolfsmith.com/autobacklinkcode.php
What’s more – I’ve used it myself several times to great effect! (It gets you listed quickly and spotted by google!)
A very useful freebie…
I’m starting to get the impression that I list far too many freebies on my blog….lol
I’m supposed to be doing this to make money…hehe
But hey – if the freebie helps you make money – then you’ll have more available to spend with me or on my recommendations in the future
Things like grabbing Tony Shepherd fantastic freebie Quit Your Job in 90 Days
Which he’s since added More Great content too (some of which I’m learning from and implementing in the coming year!)
**August
August saw the official Launch of GuruBypass (crikey that felt like it was much much earlier….lol – I guess we spent far too long putting all the videos together and building the actual site..hehe)
But as I mentioned – it has gone on to become a very successful product (and I highly recommend checking it out if you don’t have it…naturally
)
A couple of freebies I mentioned in August were the open office tutorials I gave free here:
And a resource I grabbed after Lee McIntyre mentioning it at his workshops (Another one I’ll keep attending) It’s called DropBox and has proved very handy for transferring stuff between computers!
http://www.getdropbox.com/
Speaking of Lee – don’t forget a couple of cool freebies from him:
- his Grab Your Lifestyle Product
and
the DVD of the workshops I attended that Rachel learnt so much from! (Which wasn’t actually mentioned til December)
**September
September saw me buying a new pc after the hassles I had from a virus killing my old one.
That’s one thing I’m glad is behind me!!
I did stumble over a few useful freebies as part of getting my pc up to scratch…
Things like the online version of RoboForm which allows me to log into my favourite sites from any pc:
https://online.roboform.com/login
And Secure Log Me In – which allowed Pete to access my pc from his to sort stuff that was beyond my techy skills… very useful:
http://www.logmein.com
I also built up my twitter followers a great deal by testing and reviewing Dave Nicholsons Tweet Dynamite
**October
As ever – I added more freebies to help people like the direct download link to 5 ways to use twitter:
I attended yet another Lee McIntyre weekend (see august for his freebies) and I spent a lot of time building a site for Rachel using ‘MultiProfitWebsites‘.
I say a lot of time – the site I built was very easy to do with the software – but I spent a lot of time promoting the software and writing up how a non techy like me could easily use MPW.
MPW will be coming back onto the market in 2010 – but I still have a secret link to the old price here:
(handy that I did so well with it as not everyone has that link)
MPW was that good it turned out to be my highest earning affiliate promotion of the year, which was very nice as it paid for Christmas basically
– But it also helped a lot of people get a Multi Profit Website built who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to!
Halloween also saw my 1 year anniversary of meeting and falling for Rachel, yeah – I know – nothing to do with marketing… But I wanted to mention it anyway as I’m so looking forward to waking up with her on Christmas morning and handing over the pile of presents I’ve got for her (before dashing around family and friends with theirs)… OK enough soppy stuff
**November
November saw the first mention of the latest promo everyone seems to have jumped on…. It was when I announced I wouldn’t be promoting it and gave my reasons why. Those who know me will already know what that’s all about so I wont labour on it.
Suffice to say – I’ll promote what I believe is good for my readers and I like to tell them the best way to get the best deals – I wont be told that I can’t mention certain things!
So quickly moving on – another succesful promotion I had was in November for Geoff Shaws Bum Blogging membership.
I still have the special link that saves my readers $60 off the usual $97 price
(I love it when I get to do that – yep…less commission, but more satisfaction on having helped people)
I also made a couple of mentions of Tony Shepherds latest freebie PMMS which is the main one I’ll be implementing first chance I get with my new releases in 2010! A great freebie you really should consider grabbing!
The 29th saw me get another year older… that wasn’t so nice!
BUT – after the initial upset of realising I’m getting closer to ‘getting on a bit’ – I did find time to be grateful for the internet and the fact that I don’t have to ‘work’ for someone and give them most of my life in exchange for a few dollars that pays the bills to continue the cycle!
Quite apt really as it’s so close to the Americans ‘ThanksGiving’ day.
And I do genuinely hope there are people among my readers who are progressing and getting nearer their dreams and goals, and being thankful for whatever is getting them there!
**December
As for December – I have tended to focus more on freebies rather than the heavy promotions some seem to have been pitching.
The main promo I sent out was for Phantom Link Cloaker
I’ll let anyone who is curious just scroll down til they find the review….lol, It really is a cool tool and I cover my thoughts in the posts below this one.
Other than that there were some great freebies mentioned in my posts inclucing Lee McIntyres Free DVD offer
Do scroll down to see the others too as some were very good!
I wont list them all as I’m getting tired of writing now (So I wonder how you and my other readers must be feeling …lol)
Maybe this wasn’t that long as a reader – but when you have to go through 12 months of posts to see which ones stand out – it seemed to take all day…lol
Guess I’ll end my post here with a quick summary comment:
**Summary Comment
All told this year has been a lot like any previous year in Internet Marketing!
There’s been good and bad, Some people have grown massively, other people have retired and some have passed on!
Many have joined the whole Make Money with your computer niche and many have quit.
Whatever stage you’re at, I wish you the very best in this holiday season (regardless of beliefs) – if you’re a member of the human race, you’re a part of my world. And if you’re not human, I still wish you peace and prosperity…lol)
2009 hads been a great year for me personally, in business, in relationships, and life in general.
I’ve acheived some great goals and objectives (missed plenty too), and I’m thankful for all I’ve learned and the people I’ve interacted with.
My own wish is simple:
That everyone loves their life, lives it with passion, and passes on their passions to others.
So here’s to a happy time now, and a prosperous and happy 2010
Thank You for being here for me in 2009, and I hope I can genuinely help you in 2010!
My Warmest Regards
Randy

Wishing you and yours good luck for the new year and a very happy christmas.

Excellent post Randy. Needless to say I finished reading it in 2 different sittings but that also proves how loyal of a blog reader I am as I came back to finish reading the post from where I left lol.
