I’m told that Mothers day is on different dates this month depending on where in the world you live?
Our’s is on Sunday 14th in the UK
(I’m just had an email telling me the USA Mothers day isn’t til May??)
But just to be sure I don’t miss anyone – here is a poem I wrote that you might like to copy in a card for your Mothers.
(I know it’s not marketing related – but hey.. A Mother is important regardless of what we do or how!)
Mother
My life has not been easy,
…….Tho’ some folks really have it rough,
On the whole I can’t complain,
…….Even if some times have been tough,
There has always been someone there for me,
…….Through the good times and the bad,
Helping me enjoy the happy times,
…….And not dwell on the sad,
Ever loving, loyal and true,
…….Steadfast and faithful like no other,
Rarely complaining of Her sacrifices,
…….Just being my unique – and wonderful Mother.
Be sure to use a coloured pen to write the 1st letter of the lines that spell out Mother down the page.
And I hope your Mom likes it

Ok – on with the content 
(just as well this isn’t a live thing or you’d have been waiting a while then!)
This week I wasted a lot of hours trying to figure out why some people kept telling me my links didn’t work?
It appeared as though some – but not all, of my sites were down!
Which would be difficult as they are all on a dedicated server, so they should ALL have been down or all up!
It turns out it was an issue with the isp I was connecting with, and it would seem anyone who connected with the same company had these issues??
My host recommended I get a free account with OpenDNS and add their IP addresses to my router.
Which I did – but what a scary techy job that was!!
So much so I’m, not going to even try and explain it!
But basically – it meant I could access my sites, and so could Rachel and another friend after we did the same with their router set up, But no one else who was going through the same isp could unless they followed the procedure…
What a nightmare I hope no one on my lists ever suffers!
I believe the isp has now corrected the issue – but I’m not sure. So if you get any broken links do let me know,and I’ll email an alternate link to you.
(sidenote – it seems it’s not fixed so I’ve used alternate links in this post)
That lot basically stopped me from getting much else done, Along with the family days out and reading a couple of new products I’ll mention below.
I’ve also wasted a few hours grabbing the instant video article software I mentioned and trying it out. I wanted to give a demonstration of it after having it recommended to me and it looking so easy….
Unfortunately – as with all things techy…
I managed to break it I think – so I’m awaiting a support ticket reply from the creators!
(I also note they have responded to a few queries on the warrior forum – so hopefully I’ll get a reply soon, and they’ll have it all working for me)

Fact – you do need good squeeze pages, and this product gives you the templates to create your own.
BUT
What I really like is that Sonia & Angela (2 sisters I’ve met a few times *Strictly networking*) have gone far further than just giving their highly converting Squeeze page templates…
They include two pdf’s explaining the process of using them and also include confirmation and oto pages too.
Then as an added bonus there are videos and even extra products suggesting how to construct your Autoresponder series to guarantee you are building relationships and not just a list of freebie seekers!

Well here we are already – the end of January.
As I write tomorrow starts the 2nd month of the year, and yet again I wonder where the time went?
I’m pretty sure there are a lot of people I still haven’t wished a happy new year to, and yet plans are already in place for the next few months!
How is your year starting out? – Same ole same old – or This is the year?
I know from speaking and emailing some of my readers that they are moving forward, and others are still struggling along. Sometimes I really wish I could do it for them – but hey 24hours in a day for all!
Anyway – I figured I’d have a bit of a ‘Round Up’ on the last 4 weeks and see where that takes us. As well as letting you and my other readers know about my promotions, and what is coming.
I don’t know how many have visited Dr.Mani’s 47 hearts, as I haven’t tracked it, I just figured it was worth repeating due to the fact that more children will live if he continues his work.
As for the promotions that may earn me a commission – I’ve detailed them below (apart from WizardResponder – as I don’t properly track that with me owning half of it…lol)
That said – I’m pleased to say Pete has finally got the workmen in doing repairs after his flood! So he seems to be back in full swing again… (Hurray)
Though everything is going smoothly on all fronts with Wizard, apart from one cancellation who seemed upset that her message was delivered in the AM on her time zone, and she expected it the evening before??
In case anyone else is wondering – 24 hours is 24hours where ever you are in the world… But all autoresponders, like any other sites, are on servers somewhere. And those have their clocks set to whatever time zone they are in.
They also ALL queue messages. So even when you send a broadcast message – it can be delayed not instant (ESPECIALLY with the large services who send thousands of emails per minute!)
And then add to that – Your isp’s – who may hold a message for 1 minute or a few hours in case of the worst isp’s, and even our ‘instant society’ can be held up by technology.
Come on – Banks hold our ca$h for 3-5 days when they have had an instant electronic transfer… so please allow 5 minutes or so before screaming at your autoresponder company for delivering a message later within the 24 hour period than you wanted it sent….
Sorry – got into a bit of a rant there…lol
That’ll teach me for answering support tickets…hehe, I think I’ll leave them to Pete again now when it’s anything about the techy side.
Oh – before I forget, now that Pete is back in full swing, he’s cracking on with developing a lot of software we have the rights to as well as more of his own coding.

going around, Its called Anti-Virus 2010 and it is
a pain, it got me and my Anti Virus caught it but
it left pop ups on my computer, I managed to go
back on restore and every thing was great for
about 15 Min’s now a pop up comes up and every
about 15 Min’s close my computer down,now waiting
for my own Anti Virus company to see If they have
a cure, so be careful Its a real pain, any way Randy

Something completely new, and again thanks to one of us
(I love it when people like you let me know about bargains and useful tools I might have missed)
If you use articles in your marketing (which you really should be). One of the big issues is finding time to write them all, and then rewrite them in order to submit them to multiple directories.
And if you don’t like writing them in the first place….(Come on hands up – who really has that much time?)
Getting a PLR article rewritten can seem to take just as long as starting from scratch can’t it?
Next we consider outsourcing, which is what I did for a while! I paid $90 a month to have some PLR articles rewritten and submitted for me.
I got a great job, but my writer moved on to bigger things, so I was back to square one!
I’ve recently outsourced some more – only this time it’s costing me more ca$h….

I’m hoping you’ve had a chance to read my Ramblings whilst you’ve been inundated with emails left right and center…. Isn’t it busy online lately!
So let me say straight up front – We’re less than 2 weeks from Christmas, and obviously a holiday season for people of all sorts of faiths – and even those with no belief system will be having some family time I’m sure.
So I have no problem with being bottom of the list…lol
And to add further to that – the internet will still be here if you’re too busy over the coming weeks to take much notice!
So please don’t get stressed or lose your passion for loving life by anyone pushing anything!
OK – that said – if you’re reading I assume you have some time available to further your online endeavors, so I’ll add my two cents worth as usual
Firstly – for those who read my post a while back about NOT being told what I can and can’t tell you about clicking on the close page button – or unchecking boxes on order forms…
You are bound to have seen a lot of promotions for the latest must have ’supposed’ freebie?
I’m still not promoting it myself, However I did want to mention that I’ve seen a rake load of emails telling me I should grab it…lol
I don’t want to do a disservice to anyone who does want it – So I figured I’d make mention of two marketers who have put together some great bonuses to tempt you to order the ‘code’.

I was going to close off at this point today – But hey…I figured I’d shout about my love for the new cloaker I’m using again
Mainy because I can quote some stats to show how cool it is…lol

And if you clicked on any of my links the other day you’ll have seen some of the reasons why, and what it does that is so cool
I used the /likes/ links in my email, and then changed it to /loves/ for my blog post….
That was due to me thinking it’s BRILLIANT, – AND – it also meant that I could accurately track exactly where the clicks to it were coming from.
In the past I would have just used my own Easy Cloaker and had no idea how many people followed the links – or even where they found them, as in whether they clicked through from my blogpost or emails or from twitter or the various safelists I post ads on???
By using all the features of PLC, I can now see exact numbers from every source, because I just spend less than 60 seconds creating a unique link for each advertising medium I post the link to
It really is so simple and so quick!
As you’ll notice – I’ve even used it to create the links to Keiths Freebies above… That way I can tell Keith exactly how many people clicked through to his offers and this allows us to know things like Squeeze page conversion stats. Naturally knowing stats means that things can be tweaked to improve them!
It also means I can tell straight off if I’m wasting time posting to certain sites or lists, and that time can be better used elsewhere…. the possibilities to improve my business are limitless!
And all that’s before I even mention things like the light box feature which I’ve included in some of my links!…
That feature alone meant that I could use a safelist to promote a product, and at the same time – I was adding people to my own lists as well!!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not changing my views about only grabbing what will help you, and my Easy Cloaker that I gave you free on my own subscriber gifts page does do it’s job. So if you have all sorts of tracking in place and the tools to create popups on affiliate sites etc. – Then you are likely to be techy enough not to need this.
But for those like me whose biggest weakness was tracking results and using my time and resources effectively – this is one of the best tools I’ve added to my arsenal!… AND They’ve Just Added A GREAT BONUS to help you build your own lists...(All Inclusive!)

Before anything else – I just wanted to say thank you for the comments on my blog.
I do appreciate that my readers prefer me to keep being straight with them, So that will continue!
As mentioned in my own comment – it’s not that the marketer is question is unethical.
All his continuity boxes CAN be unchecked…. It’s just against my own principles to know this and be told I can’t tell you!
My feeling is that if you are relying on me telling you something straight – then I should be able to say “Hey – do this and that and get a better deal”
Yes – it may affect my commissions, and I may not earn as much. (that said – I’m here for the long term, so in a way it could benefit me as my reputation for telling it as it is spreads and potentially more people trust my recommendations!)
Likewise – I can only agree with the comment made that sometimes we may have choices – but they are both potentially bad choices (the twin towers were mentioned, and I can’t and wouldn’t argue that the choices there were plain sh*t) …. But we’re talking about ways we market online here… and therefore I do have my own free will to promote or not promote – just as you have your own free choice to take my recommendations or ignore them.
In a nutshell – it seems my reader do prefer me the way I am, and for that I’m grateful.
But hey – if if you didn’t and would prefer me to be just another marketer after maximum cash from everything regardless of my conscience… I wouldn’t be changing! – as I’m enjoying my life and my conscience feels good about itself – so that is my choice made.
I would never judge another for their choices… it’s not my place or my job to judge them, and I don’t advocate anyone judging others. – There are peole who investigate minute details, are far better educated than I, and get paid to wear wigs and talk posh who are there to do that…. and of course – Some chap a couple of thousand years ago said something about not throwing the first stone unless you’re sin free, he seemed to say a lot of good things, so regardless of your belief system or mine…. some would say we should leave any judging to folks like Him!
Anyway – This was supposed to be a thanks for your support note – not a lecture or an invasion into personal beliefs…lol

Where to start this week?…
Well I suppose a thank you for the comments on my last blog with the fun images
And then on to some news:
I honestly thought most marketers would be like most non marketers from now til Christmas…. and getting ready for the holiday season and the new year. ?
It seems I was wrong and there is still a lot of marketing activity going on!
One advantage of placing (9th) on the leader board of a recent promotion is that I’ve been invited to participate in a heap of new product launches…
However – it’s also a disadvantage, in terms of the time it takes to personally check all these products before recommending them!
(and I still wont recommend anything I don’t want to!)
For example: (Rant Coming!!)
I’ve been given the fantastic opportunity to make up to $65 each for sending you to a free product in December….BUT
The freebie has this marketers usual forced continuity to all sorts or magazines and programs.
(They can be unchecked – so he’s not unethical)
The pitch then goes on to tell me how great it will be for me because there are exit pop ups that offer even better deals, and I would make heaps of cash and get gifts and freebies for recommending you go join for free.
THEN CAME THE BAD PART!
I’m told that in order to qualify for the mega commissions..
I MUST NOT tell my subscribers to uncheck the continuity programs!
And I MUST NOT mention the exit pop up with the better deals.
So in other words I’m supposed to blindfold you and lead you into all sorts of monthly expense and hope you don’t spot the
special offers unless you weren’t going to optin – so only a few would get the best offer etc.
WELL – I can tell you now… I wont be promoting!
*Nobody Tells Me Not To Tell You what I think you should know!*
And I Wont Be Told To Keep Quiet and threatened with a forfeit of commissions!
(if you know me at all – you’ll know I do like to make commissions – but only when I genuinely believe I’m offering the best advice I can and directing you to the best deal possible…. many time I have told my readers about the sneaky exit discounts on some sites, because I would rather have a clear conscience and less commission, and know I’ve been straight! – Knowing there is a better deal on the table for the asking , and still trying to get people to pay full whack just goes against my principles)
I’d rather pass on the big money and stay true to my own principles… **end of!**
So I have no problem mentioning other people and products that I have looked at.

I only hope that when the ‘other’ product launches in December that you remember this rant and uncheck boxes, close pages etc. regardless whose link you use (I can only tell you it wont be mine as I’ll get blacklisted from promoting now…lol)

On a more positive note:
I’m just finishing reviewing a product close to all our hearts (and wallets) - List Marketing Formula by Dave Lovelace.

Resign yourself to staying where you are, or roll up your sleeves and make something happen.
If you worry about making the wrong choice, know that you can always make another choice.
You can keep making choices as often as you’d like until you find something that works for you.
To avoid making choices altogether doesn’t serve you, because in the end….
**Even not making choices is a decision all its own.**

After the last Northallerton meet up, John Reed came back to my place to discuss some strategies to use with his MPW site.
Somehow or other we got around to talking about Bum Marketing and combining it with bloggging.
