First and foremost – Happy Thanksgiving
What a great idea to have a day when one takes time to appreciate all that we do have!
I was reminded by Dr.Mani today that it has been a year since the Mumbai attacks, ao although we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here in the UK, I did take some time out to be grateful, thankful and appreciative of all the great things going on in my own life and the wonderful world we live in. It’s just a darn shame that sometimes it’s other peoples unhappiness and misery that reminds us how lucky we are!

Anyway – Whether you celebrate it or not, it does seem a great time to give a thought to everyone around our beautiful planet who isn’t celebrating, and to think about what we do have to be thankful for.

Back to my catch up – Yet again I don’t know where to start?
I honestly thought everyone would be starting the slow down for the holiday season around now…
But it seems I’m wrong!

So prepare yourself for an onslaught of launches over the next 3 weeks…LOL
I wont be promoting all of them, some may get a mention if I think it’s value and of interest, others wont!
But I’m sure there will be plenty of emails in your inbox letting you know which ones I haven’t mentioned

I will try and mention as many freebies as I can negotiate or find from other marketers….. As the holidays make a great time to sneak off for a few hours and study – so hopefully we’ll all come back in January with more knowledge and a renewed sense of hope for a great 2010

Meanwhile I wont be resting on my own laurels, I’d like to… But Pete has all sorts of upgrades planned for WizardResponder
One of which I’m about to test (fingers crossed) I’ll tell you on my blog if it worked OK…hehe

I’ve also already started to implement parts of what Tony Shepherd mentioned in his brilliant freebie the PMMS system
With my own twist of course.
Where Tony mentioned sending an offer instead of the usual ‘Please Confirm’ page on acquiring a new subscriber – I still prefer to tell them to look for the email and whitelist me…..

However – thanks to another cool feature Pete coded, I am now able to do that as well as have a couple of links on my page…

Hot off the Press!

I literally was shown what Tony had done wednesday evening, as I was away from my pc I left it til thursday morning to look through.

Basically a good online friend Tony Shepherd has released a series of videos and pdf’s detailing how he set up a system that added over $20k to his income in just 6 weeks. Naturally I was curious but also skeptical, BUT, as it was from Tony and I trust him – I decided to watch and read.

Well after a few minutes of reading the main pdf I knew he’d stolen the idea!

LMF is Live!, My MessyBonus Plus Other News …

Before anything else – I just wanted to say thank you for the comments on my blog.
I do appreciate that my readers prefer me to keep being straight with them, So that will continue!

As mentioned in my own comment – it’s not that the marketer is question is unethical.
All his continuity boxes CAN be unchecked…. It’s just against my own principles to know this and be told I can’t tell you!

My feeling is that if you are relying on me telling you something straight – then I should be able to say “Hey – do this and that and get a better deal”
Yes – it may affect my commissions, and I may not earn as much. (that said – I’m here for the long term, so in a way it could benefit me as my reputation for telling it as it is spreads and potentially more people trust my recommendations!)

Likewise – I can only agree with the comment made that sometimes we may have choices – but they are both potentially bad choices (the twin towers were mentioned, and I can’t and wouldn’t argue that the choices there were plain sh*t) …. But we’re talking about ways we market online here… and therefore I do have my own free will to promote or not promote – just as you have your own free choice to take my recommendations or ignore them.

In a nutshell – it seems my reader do prefer me the way I am, and for that I’m grateful.
But hey – if if you didn’t and would prefer me to be just another marketer after maximum cash from everything regardless of my conscience… I wouldn’t be changing! – as I’m enjoying my life and my conscience feels good about itself – so that is my choice made.

I would never judge another for their choices… it’s not my place or my job to judge them, and I don’t advocate anyone judging others. – There are peole who investigate minute details, are far better educated than I, and get paid to wear wigs and talk posh who are there to do that…. and of course – Some chap a couple of thousand years ago said something about not throwing the first stone unless you’re sin free, he seemed to say a lot of good things, so regardless of your belief system or mine…. some would say we should leave any judging to folks like Him!

Anyway – This was supposed to be a thanks for your support note – not a lecture or an invasion into personal beliefs…lol

Nobody Tells Me Not To Tell You!-Plus A Discount!!

Where to start this week?…
Well I suppose a thank you for the comments on my last blog with the fun images

And then on to some news:
I honestly thought most marketers would be like most non marketers from now til Christmas…. and getting ready for the holiday season and the new year. ?
It seems I was wrong and there is still a lot of marketing activity going on!

One advantage of placing (9th) on the leader board of a recent promotion is that I’ve been invited to participate in a heap of new product launches…
However – it’s also a disadvantage, in terms of the time it takes to personally check all these products before recommending them!
(and I still wont recommend anything I don’t want to!)

For example: (Rant Coming!!)
I’ve been given the fantastic opportunity to make up to $65 each for sending you to a free product in December….BUT
The freebie has this marketers usual forced continuity to all sorts or magazines and programs.
(They can be unchecked – so he’s not unethical)

The pitch then goes on to tell me how great it will be for me because there are exit pop ups that offer even better deals, and I would make heaps of cash and get gifts and freebies for recommending you go join for free.

THEN CAME THE BAD PART!

I’m told that in order to qualify for the mega commissions..

I MUST NOT tell my subscribers to uncheck the continuity programs!
And I MUST NOT mention the exit pop up with the better deals.

So in other words I’m supposed to blindfold you and lead you into all sorts of monthly expense and hope you don’t spot the
special offers unless you weren’t going to optin – so only a few would get the best offer etc.
WELL – I can tell you now… I wont be promoting!

*Nobody Tells Me Not To Tell You what I think you should know!*
And I Wont Be Told To Keep Quiet and threatened with a forfeit of commissions!
(if you know me at all – you’ll know I do like to make commissions – but only when I genuinely believe I’m offering the best advice I can and directing you to the best deal possible…. many time I have told my readers about the sneaky exit discounts on some sites, because I would rather have a clear conscience and less commission, and know I’ve been straight! – Knowing there is a better deal on the table for the asking , and still trying to get people to pay full whack just goes against my principles)

I’d rather pass on the big money and stay true to my own principles… **end of!**

So I have no problem mentioning other people and products that I have looked at.

You may know on some level that you have choices but refuse to acknowledge them because you fear the unknown.

You know you can dissolve an unhealthy relationship, but is being alone really any better? At least now you have someone there, even if it’s not the person you’d prefer be there.
Rather than face uncertain outcomes, you avoid making choices at all.

Whether you really believe you have a shortage of options or you are simply making excuses because you’re afraid to move forward, know that it’s ALL within your control. Just like every other person on the planet, you always have the most basic opportunity before you now:
Resign yourself to staying where you are, or roll up your sleeves and make something happen.

If you worry about making the wrong choice, know that you can always make another choice.
You can keep making choices as often as you’d like until you find something that works for you.

To avoid making choices altogether doesn’t serve you, because in the end….
**Even not making choices is a decision all its own.**

Only recently have I taken more notes from all the videos and instruction in the membership – as a great way to help Rachel understand and apply a lot of the things I feel she could do with implementing for her site.

I told John that I came about the site through buying a product called ’Get Google Smart’
Where Marketer Geoff Shaw teaches some really sound principles about using the tools google give freely, and giving google what they want!
(In other words – why go black hat when google practically hold your hand to get you more traffic!!)

I loved the ebook and so when offered a special for the BumBlogging membership – I took it.
Also the fact that it was a ‘one off’ payment with no recurring billing helped me decide to grab it even if I didn’t study it for a while.
(I know – that goes against my usual advice!)
So anyway – after having had a look around it recently for Rachel – I recommended it to John.

Very briefly… It’s been a busy week or so with the MPW promotion, I’m thrilled to say I managed to get 9th place in the JV Competition.
That basically means that others will take note of my name, and that can only be good for both myself and my readers, as people will now be contacting me with some ‘better than usual’ specials for my readers… because they’ll think I have a responsive reader base.

The fact of the matter was simply that MPW is a great product and I added some cool bonuses. Now I’m looking forward to helping all those who did buy through my link and I’m really looking forward to seeing people get results who may have been struggling for a while!

We’ve also have both Halloween and Bonfire night now… next up is my Birthday on the 29th …. I know…… thanksgiving day is sometime before then isn’t it… not that I remember when exactly, as we’re not all from the U.S. you know , and besides – shouldn’t we be grateful Every Day?

Anyway – I am looking at a few bits and pieces that I think will help my readers, and I’ll let you know once I’m sure they will…. We’ve also got some cool upgrades coming in WizardResponder to make an already great service even easier to use, and MoreMonthly is still at the old price for the foreseeable future due to losing where the heck the new pages went…lol. GuruBypass has seen an influx of new members who I can’t wait to hear from in terms of their new found successes, and Anton has been working furiously on a new product that yet again helps less experienced marketers make real cash quickly…. (news of that within the next 8 weeks)

So in the meantime – I thought a ‘Humour’ break might be nice
