As usual I hope you’re enjoying life and all it has to offer!
And hey – if anyone gets in the way of that – put them to
one side (myself included!)…
I’ve been speaking and catching up with a few online friends
and I’m happy to say that some have done nothing online recently!
Now I know that may sound completely the opposite of what everyone
and even I sometimes say – but trust me when I say it’s not.
You see I do agree that we should focus on what we’re doing online
- but I still very much hold onto the belief that this is all to
make our lives better, and not to cause more stress!
So do take that time out with family and friends, I know I do. And
remember that your business is there to help you do that, and not keep
you away from the good things.
OK – so you may have guessed that I’ve still not caught up with
all the things I have going on, and you’d guess right!
I’m Way Behind!
Cards on the table – some things just haven’t gone the way they
should have.
For Example – I’m behind on every other project I’m working on
simply because those last few bugs in the new improved WizardResponder
are driving Pete and I up the preverbial wall!
Firstly so no one panics – the remaining issues are only affecting
broadcast emails to people with lists over 1000 (which includes mine) 
That said – Pete and I have got to the point where we find it unacceptable
not to be able to cure the issue.
We are also not happy with the lack of support from the script writers/sellers
So long story short….
After discussing it together we both agree that our service levels to our
members are our highest priority.
So after throwing so much cash at the problem to no avail – we’re throwing
even more into the service and have invested a rather large chunk into getting
a completely new script installed and adapted to suit our clients.
And while we were doing so – we’ve also added yet another bunch of extra bits
based on things I’d like to have when I log in (especially easier stats etc.)
So do watch this space for some announcements any day now about the
new new version
And wait til you see it…. I don’t think there’s much left we could do to
improve it ever again… But the point was to ensure it remains as good as
it always has been – but with more benefits and useful additions for members,
while still being priced at less than half what the big boys charge!
(Not I think we’ll see a profit for a long time – but at least I get to
use it for free …lol)
Anyways – that’s how come I’m so behind on things like the membership script
and the Guru Bypass projects, among others!
I do still have my ear to the ground and below you’ll hear about a new launch
and a massive saving opportunity
(A little time sensitive – and I’m sorry about that but it’s not my doing,
I don’t like rushing people – but once in a while it is worth dropping
everything to take a look – without obliga’tion naturally!)

My first post since I got back from Bristol!
Guess what – I’m still going through emails and feeling
somewhat lost as to my priorities! (Laugh)
As my readers (like You) are still at the top of my list,
I’ve put other stuff to get done on to a list and figured
I’d write to you first.
(So it may not be too great a Ramble until I get back
into the swing of things….lol)

* Bristol Event Sleep Deprivation
As you’re probably aware – I’ve been to an event (hehe)
I set off at 11ish Thursday morning and got back late
Sunday evening.
Fortunately I had some company on the long drive down.
It’s around 5 or 6 hours from my place to the event!
I drove as far as York and met up with John Reed, who has
been around a long while now – but finally got what I’m
sure will be a valuable resource, up and running at

We then travelled down to the event together and shared a
room (that way John could help wake me for breakfast after
my hour or so sleep each day)
The hotel was very nice, if rather pricey for a Northerner.
$9 for a sausage butty and $8 for a single Vodka are twice
what we pay up here!!!
That said – as soon as we arrived I started seeing familiar
faces around the bar – so naturally I only started drinking
in order to network
If you’ve read my previous adventures at the britpack event
in 07, – I think it would be easier to just say…
I did a lot of networking again…
(they forced the alcohol into me!… Honest)
So yeah – Every night was similar and I’m still amazed at just
how many flaming double sambuca’s tequila’s pernod’s bacardi’s
(I hate bacardi!! – yuk) and various other concoctions, all these
fulltime marketers can knock back – AND still talk shop!!…lol
It really was a great weekend, and It genuinely felt like I was
meeting up with old friends I hadn’t seen in a while.
I guess that’s the sort of bond you develop with people who have
similar interests and understand exactly what you’re talking about
when referring to a heap of IM terms.
Other great advantages of having these guys as friends are the
amount of help and support we all offer each other – right
through to the latest newbie just starting out – who can gather
and learn more from a half hour chat with an experienced marketer,
that he could probably learn from a $200 course or ebook!
And that’s before we even mention the confidential aspects of knowing
about so many exciting products that are in development.
(I will say this much – there are a lot of people REALLY raising the bar
in the quality & simplicity of products due out later this year!)
As for the actual seminars:
Oh yeah – nearly forgot – there were speakers everyday giving some
absolutely great talks about their areas of expertise!
In fact – I have to say Robert Puddy really does do a great job of
only having speakers who are prepared to share a heap of info so
valuable, that it would be fair to say that each speaker individually
covered the price of the event with JUST what they shared!!
So with the networking til 6am ish, then breakfast at 8.30 and
the seminars around 9….. Plus being dragged away to fit in a
couple of small interviews …
(which still amazes me that anyone would want to interview me!)
You’ll hopefully understand why I’m not quite back into a routine yet
I do have some great resources to share with you from conversations
I’ve had, but I’ll save the bulk those for another time.
Plus I want to get this out to you today just to let those who
keep asking that I am still alive….lol
(I’ve just had my own Northallerton Meet up, and around 2000 emails
to get through, not that there are too many requiring replies… phew!
- before getting back into my routines – so I will answer
emails, it just might take a few days to catch up)
I think I mainly wanted to stress the HUGE advantages of attending
these events and building relationships with other marketers.
It all starts with popping into forums regularly and getting to know
people – not just from a point of view of getting help and questions
answered, but actually making friends!
(Don’t forget my forum included with www.MoreMonthly.com is a great
place to start, as well as Robert Puddys ForumKnowHow)
Then when you finally get to meet these guys and gals at events -
it’s just so much easier to want to help them and for them to help you.
So please do try to ignore anything you may hear about the copulas
amounts of beverages people go through, and focus on the knowledge and
friendships gained – and be sure to attend one as soon as you can!
OK – I think I’ll wrap that there for now and sort the freebie I
wanted to pass on from one attendee.

will know he got hideously drunk!
I’m afraid I have to report this year seems to be much of the same.. (Tut, tut.)

Instead of just nursing a hangover, I’ve made sure he reports back to me detailing

I hope you’re enjoyed the holiday weekend.
I have to say time really does seem to be flying by!
I’ve had a few days offline while I finally got set
up with my new broadband connection at my new flat.
(And for those in the UK – I’ve gone with the post office,
they gave a great package deal on home phone and broadband.
unlimited usage plus free evening and weekend calls – including
international calls (handy) and even Mobile calls on a weekend –
so I can ring my kids more now…lol)
I still have a busy time ahead of me this month, and I’m
finally making some good progress on getting GuruBypass close
to completion – the case studies report should be ready very
soon for those on the list who are waiting to see some real results!
That said – This weekend is the Bristol Event, So I won’t be
around from Thursday!

In this Ramble I’ve tended to focus on a lot of the free
resources I’ve been looking at over the last week or two,
so you’ll find the links in each one below.
Oh and a last thought – the promo I did for James Penn
(Accelerated List Building) has gone back to $10 for those
that missed it.
James saw the wisdom of making less but providing great value
and building his list!
Pete and I have also been spending a lot of time in
www.WizardResponder.com – and hopefully finding the last of the
small buggy bits that needed sorting, – like the unsub links all
pointing to the right places now whether it was a V1 sign up of V2!
(I’m still not convinced that we haven’t messed up some of the
settings in my own personal account – but that’s what happens when
you do so much tweaking that you lose track… Ooops!)
We’ve also (well Pete has) developed and are testing a membership
site script for those who want one that is easy to use – but
doesn’t cost thousands!, and we’ll let you know how that goes once
we’re happy with it all

With my upcoming weekend away, I needed to update my business
cards (for handing to potential JV partners I’ll meet at Bristol)
That got me looking for ideas and I was recommended to this site:

They have over 100 card designs to chose from, and all you do is
enter your details and instantly have a downloadable .PDF file
ready for printing.
(They do make their ca$h by having a printing option, but that’s
your own choice – I would just print what you need.)

* The BM Secret that Isn’t! (Free)
Your next freebie today is a report by John Thornhill
on the Butterfly Marketing Secret.
I know – it’s not much of a secret really is it?…lol
A quick summary would go something like this:
1. You offer people a freebie of value
2. They opt in for it which builds your list
3. You then present a One t’ime Off’er which some buy
4. And Finally – they become affiliates and promote your site
to further your list building and sales!
So in a nutshell – you don’t have to use the BM script, but it
would make sense to to copy the basic format!
(The new script I mentioned would also work nicely for
this when Pete and I release it)
John’s report gives some great info and ideas that anyone can use
to implement this type of strategy, and hence (as I like the price)
I do recommend grabbing a copy free.
Off course they will be an offer – but make your own mind
up there, – the main thing is to get the freebie and learn from it.
